Springfield Whole Segments Mandarin Oranges

Food Review (Posted on 08-03-2015)

I had a huge admiration for these since youth. Unlike the cling peaches I too also liked, these mandarin oranges were lighter, fresh and the wedges were very tender.

Whether you include this as an ingredient or eat by itself, Springfield does an excellent job packaging these oranges when fully ripe and tender. Even if it's too ripe, that's still not a bad thing. The light syrup isn't something to feel guilty about, if you were to eat with it. However, folks who include this as an ingredient often don't include the syrup.

My only wish with this is hoping it's those pop-top cans where using a can opener is unnecessary. I understand some products are too "precious" to have some sort of thief sneak by munching on treats like these without getting caught. However, if soup companies have gone the way of opening a can the same way you open a can of soda, then I feel the rest should follow suit (unless they want to kindly give can opener companies some business).

Anyway, whichever way you go with these, you'll guarantee yourself tender, soft Vitamin C goodness integrated in your dishes, or by itself.

We need oranges and their Vitamin C, which is something healthy recommended from the folks at Love with Food:
