Señor Rico Rainbow Gelatin

Food Review (Posted on 01-24-2016)

Back to gelatin.

I have snacked on this simple treat even before my high school days. Up until today, the taste hasn't disappointed.

Looking at the label, already you think, "rainbow gelatin"? "Rainbow" implicates a stripe of a combination of warm and cool colors, from red to purple. If you look at this container, it only has red, white and green—colors representing the flag of México. Not there's anything wrong with representing those colors, but if we're playing the word game, rainbow implicates something else. No big deal, but it's worth a mention.

The taste is what you'd expect: not too sweet, not too bland, but just pure gelatin amazingness. A nice touch was the white gelatin part which sort of cuts off the viscosity of the red and green gelatin. That same treat almost tastes like the almond gelatin by Pamana, though they're not affiliated with this product.

An excellent snack/dessert for the kids, or for you to package for your lunch at work.
