Hickory Farms Beef Summer Sausage

Food Review (Posted on 12-07-2015)

A company that's been established back in the 1950s, this was my very first product I ever tasted from Hickory Farms. This was received as part of a Christmas bonus from my former job last year. Since I don't work there anymore, I have taken the pleasure to review this amazing product, having come away with something good.

The sausage is covered in a parchment-like casing when unwrapped from the plastic. The casing is NOT edible, and therefore, must be removed before trying/serving. The way I serve these are simple, but small, slices with the casing removed. Right away, the taste is so good that there isn't enough synonyms to succinctly use that match well with "amazing." Even though it's our job to provide the full nutritional facts, as shown above on every food review, I didn't care about the grams. This sausage tastes so good it's unbelievable; You can taste that hardwood smoke flavor through the delicious beef fibers, along with the juicy flavors that come with it. No bun required.

This sausage is like chocolate: every now and then, we like to sit down and eat some.

For a specialty item like this, it's best served as an hors d'oeuvre (remove the casing, of course). Served as one or for oneself, pairing it with small cubes of cheese, trail mix and/or wine makes this a complimentary snack guaranteed to impress your family and/or guests alike. Other than that, this tastes best at room temperature. No need to wait for summer just to indulge in this!

Enough of this talk: run out and get this!

After doing so, make sure you're all set to entertain your folks with amazing kitchen tools and outdoor items from World Kitchen Outlets:
